These are indicative ranges for planning, not fixed prices. Shared jeep fares are set by local taxi associations and change with fuel prices; reserved cars cost more in peak season and for permit areas. Check current status before you travel.

How much is a shared jeep from Siliguri to Gangtok or Darjeeling?
Shared jeeps (Sumos, Boleros and similar) from the Siliguri stands usually charge a few hundred rupees a seat to Gangtok, Darjeeling or Kalimpong, while a reserved car costs a few thousand for the whole vehicle. Our fare board lists the current indicative range for each route. Fares change with fuel prices and season: check current status before you travel.

Can we take a shared jeep into Nathu La, Tsomgo or North Sikkim?
No. Protected areas can only be visited in registered tourist vehicles booked through registered agents, usually as a day package from Gangtok or a two- or three-night package to North Sikkim. Shared jeeps run only on public routes. Check current status before you travel.
