Get off at Malbazar and take a shared or reserved auto or toto the last 10 km to Lataguri. Some Mainaguri and Jalpaiguri buses via Lataguri also run; ask at the stand.

₹2,800–3,800 per car · Hire a car from Siliguri, NJP or Bagdogra. The route crosses the Teesta at the Coronation Bridge near Sevoke, then follows the foothills through Odlabari and Malbazar. Fix the rate first and confirm tolls and parking are included.

₹30–300 depending on class · Trains on the Dooars line from Siliguri Junction or NJP stop at New Mal Junction, about 10 km from Lataguri. Services are few, so check timings. Take an auto or toto from the station.

How far is Gorumara from Siliguri?
Lataguri, where most Gorumara lodges and the main safari counter are, is about 80 km from Siliguri. The drive takes 2–2.5 hours via Sevoke, the Coronation Bridge, Odlabari and Malbazar. From Bagdogra airport add about 30 minutes, and from NJP about 15 minutes.
What does a car from Siliguri to Lataguri cost?
A reserved hatchback or sedan costs roughly ₹2,800–3,500 one way, and an SUV ₹3,300–3,800. Prices rise during the Puja holidays and at New Year. For a round trip with sightseeing, drivers usually charge ₹3,500–4,500 a day. Fares are indicative.
Is there a direct bus from Siliguri to Lataguri?
A few buses for Mainaguri and Jalpaiguri via Lataguri run from Siliguri, but the reliable option is any bus to Malbazar, which leave often from the Tenzing Norgay bus terminus. From Malbazar it is about 10 km to Lataguri by auto or toto. Buses are cheap and crowded at peak times.
Which railway station is nearest to Gorumara?
New Mal Junction, on the Dooars line, is about 10 km from Lataguri. Chalsa station is useful for Chalsa resorts and Samsing. Few trains run on this line, so check timings. For most travellers NJP is the practical railhead, followed by a car or bus.
