Is Yarlam Resort worth the higher price?
If warmth and comfort matter to you, yes. Lachung nights are cold, and better heating and hot water make a real difference after a dawn trip to Zero Point. Budget travellers will be fine in a homestay. Prices rise in peak months, so compare rates early.
Is it suitable for a honeymoon?
Yes. It is one of the better options for couples in Lachung, with larger rooms and views. Ask for a valley-facing room and check whether any special arrangements cost extra. Book well ahead for April, May, October and December, when the best rooms fill first.
Do I still need a tour operator?
Yes. Permits and registered vehicles for Lachung come through registered operators. Ask your operator to add Yarlam as the hotel on your package. Private cars from outside cannot go beyond the checkposts. Book the resort through the operator, or tell them if you have booked it yourself.
