Le Coxy Resort is one of the better-known mid-range properties in Lachung, with rooms in a few categories, a dining hall serving Indian, Chinese and local food, and views across the valley. Rooms are clean and warmer than average, with geysers and heaters available.

Does Le Coxy Resort have heating?

Room heaters are usually available, sometimes for an extra charge in winter. Confirm when booking, especially from November to March when nights go below freezing in Lachung. Hot water comes from geysers, which can be affected by power cuts. Carry thermals in any case, as corridors and dining areas are cold.

Is breakfast early enough for Yumthang?

The kitchen is used to dawn departures and can serve an early breakfast or pack one. Tell reception the night before what time your driver is leaving. If you leave very early, ask for tea and a packed breakfast, and eat at the stalls in Yumthang if you are hungry.

How do I book it?

Most guests book through a Gangtok tour operator as part of a permit package, which often gets a better rate. Direct bookings are possible, but you still need the operator for permit and vehicle. Ask your operator to confirm the room category in writing, and book early for April, May and October.
