Sinclairs Siliguri

Sinclairs is one of the older established hotels in Siliguri, with air-conditioned rooms, a pool and a restaurant that serves Indian, Chinese and continental food. It is well placed for the Hill Cart Road, Sevoke Road and the Darjeeling and Sikkim jeep stands, and NJP station is about a 20-minute drive away.
Siliguri is a transit city, and most travellers only need a clean room, a quiet night and an early start. Sinclairs gives you that with fewer surprises than cheaper station hotels. Book a room on the higher floors away from the road for less traffic noise.
Why we book it
- Reliable rooms and hot water for a transit night
- Easy access to NJP, Bagdogra and the hill roads
- Restaurant on site for late arrivals
- Air conditioning for hot, humid summer nights in the plains
Questions travellers ask
Good to know
How far is Sinclairs Siliguri from NJP and Bagdogra?
Allow about 20–30 minutes by taxi to New Jalpaiguri (NJP) station and 30–45 minutes to Bagdogra airport, depending on traffic. Siliguri traffic can be slow between 9 am and 8 pm, especially near Sevoke Road and the Air View More crossing. For a morning flight, leave at least two and a half hours before departure to allow for airport security queues.
Is it worth staying a night in Siliguri?
Only if your timing forces it. Siliguri sits at about 120 m, is hot and humid from April to September, and most sights are on its edges. If your train arrives after about 3 pm, a night in Siliguri is safer than driving the hill road in the dark. Otherwise head straight to Kurseong, Mirik or Darjeeling.
Does Sinclairs Siliguri arrange airport or station transfers?
Most mid-range Siliguri hotels, including this one, can arrange a car to NJP or Bagdogra on request. Prepaid taxis also run from both NJP and the airport. A local transfer within Siliguri is usually ₹400–800 depending on time and distance. Confirm the price with the front desk when you book, and check current rates before you travel.
