Mt Narsing Village Resort

The resort is a cluster of cottages set among trees on the edge of Ravangla, away from the main bazaar. Cottages are built in a local style with wooden interiors and small sit-outs. On clear mornings the Kangchenjunga range shows over the ridges to the north-west.
Ravangla is cold for most of the year, so heaters and hot water matter here more than décor. Mt Narsing keeps things simple and warm, and staff can arrange cars to Buddha Park, Ralang, Temi Tea Garden and Namchi.
Why we book it
- Cottages with space and quiet, away from the market
- Short drive to Buddha Park and Ralang Monastery
- Staff who arrange guides for the Maenam Hill walk
- Fair prices outside the Pang Lhabsol and Puja weeks
Questions travellers ask
Good to know
How far is Mt Narsing Village Resort from Buddha Park
Buddha Park (Tathagata Tsal) is a few kilometres away, about 10–15 minutes by car. Ralang Monastery is around 30 minutes' drive, and Temi Tea Garden roughly an hour. The Ravangla bazaar, with shared jeep stands for Gangtok, Namchi and Pelling, is a short drive. Distances are approximate, so confirm with the resort.
Is Ravangla cold at night
Yes. At over 2,000 m Ravangla is often misty and cool even in summer, with nights around 10–15°C. From December to February nights drop close to freezing. Ask for a heater, carry a warm jacket and a hat, and expect damp, foggy days in the monsoon from June to September.
Should I stay in Ravangla or Namchi
Stay in Ravangla if you want cooler air, the Buddha Park at dawn and a walk to Maenam or Ralang. Stay in Namchi if you want a larger town with more hotels and restaurants, closer to Samdruptse and Char Dham. They are about 25 km and an hour apart, so one night in either place covers both.
