Mayfair Spa Resort and Casino

Mayfair is built in a Sikkimese-inspired style on a forested hillside a short drive below the town centre. Rooms are large and well heated, and the property has an indoor heated pool, a spa, several restaurants and a casino. It is popular for honeymoons, family celebrations and travellers who want to stay put between excursions.
We offer it in the Comfort tier for travellers who value facilities over being able to walk to MG Marg. The trade-off is distance: you will need a taxi into town each evening. For a first visit to Sikkim, many guests split their nights between Mayfair and a central hotel.
Why we book it
- Indoor heated pool and spa after cold lake days
- Large, warm rooms with good beds
- Calm grounds away from town traffic
- Good for honeymoons and family celebrations
Questions travellers ask
Good to know
How far is Mayfair Gangtok from MG Marg?
The resort is a short drive below the town centre, usually 15–25 minutes to MG Marg depending on traffic. You cannot comfortably walk to town, so budget for a taxi each time, around ₹300–500 each way. The resort can arrange cars for sightseeing, Rumtek and permit trips.
Is Mayfair Gangtok good for a honeymoon?
It is one of the most popular honeymoon choices in Sikkim because of its spa, heated indoor pool, large rooms and quiet grounds. Many couples combine two nights here with a more central hotel. Book early for May, October and the Christmas to New Year period, when rates rise sharply.
Do I need to stay at the casino resort to visit the casino?
No, but the casino has its own entry rules and age limits, and it is a small part of what the resort offers. Most guests come for the rooms, spa and setting. Casino rules, entry fees and timings are set by the operator and can change, so ask at the desk.
